Inspired by the historical Fairmont Olympic Building and the Fairmont brand, traditional details are seen through a contemporary lens to draw the public in while keeping direct connection to the hotel.

Located in Seattle, Washington, and nestled in the Fairmont Olympic Hotel at street level, the 4th Avenue Espresso Bar offers hotel guests, tourists, and locals a destination to enjoy gourmet pastries, work quietly, or meet with friends. Previously a dated, brightly lit, and small sandwich shop, the space provided a basic foundation for transformation. The new design refreshed the original marble flooring, included a full-length banquette, and strategically placed new lighting and finishes, all while aligning with the budget and tight timeline.
